Music has always been a part of my soul. Raised in a small East Texas town, I grew up surrounded by the sounds of country, gospel, and honest storytelling. For years my own voice stayed in the background until I finally found the courage to step into the spotlight.

At 52, I recorded my debut Christmas album The Joy of Christmas, featuring holiday classics and two original songs including My Gift to You, a heartfelt surprise for my mother after her cancer diagnosis. It was created to bring hope and love during the holiday season.

​

In 2024 I followed that dream with my second album Where Dreams Begin, an inspirational collection that includes two original songs and nine covers of the songs that inspired me to be a dreamer from a young age. The album blends country, gospel, pop, and Latin influences and celebrates the power of hope and perseverance.

​

This year I have devoted more time to songwriting. I joined the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), attended the Tin Pan South Songwriting Seminar in March 2025, and have written six new songs over the past few months inspired by real moments and real people.

​

One of those songs is my newest single Tinsel, Tequila & Tan Lines, releasing November 21, 2025, just in time for the holiday season. It is dedicated to the friends I have made in Belize and Nicaragua and to the joy of celebrating Christmas in the sun. The palm trees may be wrapped in lights instead of pine, and flip flops may replace boots, but the same holiday spirit shines through. It is about time with people who bring you joy, laughter that fills the air, and moments that remind you what truly matters.

For me, Christmas in paradise has become a season of gratitude, connection, and giving back. Each year I help with a community tradition that brings toys, candy, and happiness to children across Nicaragua, many of whom would otherwise go without. Seeing their smiles reminds me that the magic of Christmas is not found under a tree. It is found in the hearts we touch.

My songs reflect life’s highs and lows, faith and resilience, love and renewal. Whether it is a fun anthem of strength or a tender song of hope, I hope my music speaks to your heart and reminds you that you are never alone in your journey.
